[GRASS-user] The relevancy of g.region when exporting

Greetings

I have a raster image of 3000 x3000 cells. But only a part of it (70x30)
have valid pixels.
When I export it with r.out.gdal I obtain slightly different results if I
export with g.region rast=image and g.region rast=image zoom=image . And
this difference is "expanded" when I try to reproject both maps to WGS84.
My question is: which is the best approach? use a region for all image or a
region just for "valid pixels"?
