[GRASS-user] Create monthly images from fixed timely images

Hey all,

Sorry for cross emailing in two lists, but I believe the issue is
interesting for both users. 

Is there a method that can create monthly LST images from MOD11a2 ? The
problem arises if you consider that MOD11a2 gets released every 8days
and you want to create a monthly image combining n*8days accordingly. 

eg:

 month1_image: 1st-day + 9th-day + 17th-day + 25th-day + 6/8*33rd-day 
 month2_image: 2/8*33rd-day + 41st-day .... and so on

as you can see it gets quite complicated find the weighting values for
first and last input days because as the example shows 33rd-day goes for
the first month as well for the 2nd month.

Anyone had crossed into this kind of problem before? If so how did you
solve it?
