[GRASS-user] R: v.net.path on GRASS 7.0 GUI on Windows.

If you are successful to change the two points and get results means that the module works with you and that I'm not able to use it, as I suspected. I’ll try to better understand the procedure.

Cheers

Thank you for your prompt response .
If the module(s) works well with you and no one else has the same my problems, surely there is something wrong with what I do, as usual . I have to admit it's a little frustrating to discover my incompatibility with the Windows version, but fortunately I can console myself with the Linux version that works perfectly with me.

I don't say there is nothing wrong and the tool can't be improved, but I was able to change the positions of the 2 points and get results, so I am not sure what should be fixed...

Many thanks again.

Hi,

I’m having trouble with the ‘Shortest path (v.net.path)’ option of the ‘Vector network analysis tools’ in GRASS 7.0.1RC2 on Windows.

1) The Points panel (Fig.1) appears different , and somewhat incomplete, from that of Linux (Ubuntu) (Fig.2) .

not really incomplete, there are some tweaks needed for Windows, but it seems functional overall

2) It is possible to insert the two (Start and End) points In the panel, but they can not be changed. If one of the two points is replaced by a new point , the request is issued to define the point of departure and arrival (Fig.3) even if they are already defined (Fig.4) and there is no way to continue the analysis.

it seems that it always places the points in the order 1, 2, 1, 2 or in case of 3 points for Traveling salesman it places them 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3. I am not sure if this is bug or intention, it would be more logical to select the point and then change its position. Sorry if I misunderstood the problem, but I was able to compute and visualize the shortest path on Windows and it seems it behaves the same on my Ubuntu.

Cheers,

Anna

Are these bugs?
