[GRASS-user] Is there a command-line only version for Linux available?

Thanks for the info Martin :)

I'll look into the grass-core and see if somehow I can build it for CentOS... I've only found grass, grass-libs, and grass-devel rpms for CentOS....

as to the G6 tools; that's what the people I'm doing this for have ... and there's no upgrading to 7. Gotta work with what I have available... (ugh)... nothing like a challenge, eh?

:)

Chris

Hi,

I know I can use the GRASS tools via scripts without starting GRASS but can I use them without installing all of GRASS? I'm going through what I need to install GRASS and the list of software dependencies is rather long ... is there a command-line only version around without all of the graphical software overhead? At the moment I'm limited to using GRASS 6.4.4 tools ...

I don't know about CestOS, but Debian/Ubuntu packages are separated.
You would need to install just grass-core package in your case.

BTW, why limited to G6 tools? Martin
