   It's been so long since I worked with long/lat data I could not find old
references on how to define a non-projected, long/lat location. I thought
the answer might be found on the wxGUI new location creation wizard but
didn't see it there as an option.

   Nope. I mis-remembered. It's EPSG 2838; same digits, different order.
