[GRASS-user] estimate impervious areas from satellite imagery

Hi,

is it possible to process satellite imagery, even if just google satellite,
and estimate percentage of impervious (hard surfaces such as paved and
roof) areas.  this would useful for estimating infiltration and runoff from
a watershed.
