[GRASS-user] v.out.ogr warning when exporting to shapefile

Dear list,

I need to export some vector data to ESRI shapefiles. I use v.out.ogr 
and get several times warnings like:

"Warning 1: Value 152469999.479999989 of field areaArabA of feature 6 
not successfully written. Possibly due to too larger number with respect 
to field width"

However, this field contains values with 2 decimal places and 
v.db.select correctly returns 152469999.48. I create the column using 
v.db.addcolumn and column type double precision, and fill it using 
db.execute and an sql statement including ROUND.

I suppose, this is a shapefile issue, but is there any workaround?
