[GRASS-user] active fire mapping with GRASS GIS?

Hi all,

as you may have heard, there are a lot of active fires in California right
now.

the nearest one is about 30-40 miles away from me. i'm wondering is there
some guidance on using GRASS GIS for active fire mapping using near real
time imagery? i've searched online but haven't found something yet. (i'm
not looking for fire modeling)
