[GRASS-user] error in g.proj on Windows 10 via R (rgrass7) in GRASS 7.8

Dear list,

This is a GRASS - R - Windows problem. I would be grateful for any hint.

I try to modify my current location using g.proj, flag c and a 
georeferenced file. This works fine when I do it directly in GRASS. 
However, when calling from R (via the rgrass7 package) I get the 
following error message:

ERROR 1: PROJ: proj_create_geographic_crs: SQLite error on SELECT name, 
ellipsoid_auth_name, ellipsoid_code, prime_meridian_auth_name, 
prime_meridian_code, area_of_use_auth_name, area_of_use_code, 
publication_date, deprecated FROM geodetic_datum WHERE auth_name = ? AND 
code = ?: no such column: area_of_use_auth_name

The problem occurs using GRASS 7.8 but NOT using 7.6. Likewise, there is 
no problem under Linux, only Windows 10.

It might be related to some Windows environmental variables, but I don't 
have a clue which ones. As the older version works, I wonder if it is 
due to any changes from GRASS 7.6 to 7.8. Could anybody give me a hint?
