I am looking for some quick information as to whether something is possible

or not..

<p>I am working with elevation data, and need to take an average over an

"irregular" grid "cell"...I have imported the grid as a vector at this

point in time, just to get an idea of what it will look like, and have

overlayed it with the raster.&nbsp; The raster is composed of land/ocean

heights/depths...

<br>is there a way to average the elevations/depths within those cells??&nbsp;&nbsp;There

is a sql that we use in MapInfo, and was wondering if that could be converted

over to GRASS&nbsp;or not...
