GRASS 5.7: tcltkgrass and display manager replaced by new GIS Manager

IR17;ve just committed to the CVS a major update to the GRASS 5.7 display manager. With help and advice from Glynn Clements, I merged the functions of the tcltkgrass user interface with the display manager. I’ve renamed the display manager the GIS Manager to reflect this augmented interface role (though I haven’t changed the file names, leaving it d.m, etc.). Along the way, I’ve updated the menus to reflect some new functionality (e.g., a pan function has returned to GRASS 5.7 as d.zoom -p), added a couple tools to the tool bar (erase to white and pan), and ‘improved’ (hopefully) some of the tool icons. Together, it makes for a compact, versatile, and powerful GUI for GRASS. If you’d like to try it on your current version of GRASS 5.7, I’ve put the entire updated dm package on my website <http://www.public.asu.edu/~cmbarton/grass.htm>.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order for this to run, you MUST have a version of GRASS 5.7 built after updates to G_GIS() on 25 August 2004.
Let me know if you have any comments or encounter any problems.
