Sorry for reposting. But I didn&#39;t get a response from the list , so I thought maybe the mail never found it&#39;s way.<br>
I wish to create a customized GIS to update the locations of different entities. I think the following approach should work :-<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Store the entities and their locs in a postgres DB.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Update the locs whenever the same change using some kind of user interface with postgre.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Write a script to keep displaying the entities on map display. The script should run continously.<br>

I wish to know :-<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Do I need to have postGIS enabled for that.<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Is the concept alright and do I need anything else ?<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; Is there a easier or any already existing solution for something similar ?<br>
