I've installed the newest QGIS packages allready. But I don't think the
error is connected with these version. I had the same before with
version 1.0xxx. I didn't use QGIS the last month, so I don't know how
long it won't work. But as in installed these version 1.0xxx it worked
fine.<br>

yes, to see what versions of the packages you have installed.
pull the terminal wide enough so that the full version number shows.
to follow Alan's advice, try upgrading and see if there are any
new packages waiting in the UbuntuGIS repository.
