GRASS FAQ: wish not found?

Question:

I have installed Grass5 using binaries in a PC runing Linux.
After define a project area and after typing 'tcltkgrass&' I got following
message:

GRASS:~> /usr/local/grass5/bin/tcltkgrass: line3: exec: wish: not found

Why?

Answer:

Do you have the tcl and tk libraries installed? They supply
"wish" which is the tcl interpreter which is required for
tcltkgrass...
If already installed, it may be you don't have a /usr/bin/wish, but do have
something like /usr/bin/wish8.3. If so, you can define the environment
variable GRASS_WISH=wish8.3, and tcltkgrass should then work.
