<title>GRASS and libtermcap problem</title>
<body bgcolor=#FFFFFF>

<b>Question:</b><p>
After the (successful?) installation of GRASS I get the following error
message:<br>

<pre>
Starting GRASS ...
/usr/local/grass5/etc/set_data: error while loading shared libraries:
   libtermcap.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

What to do?<p>

<b>Answer:</b><p>
After the installation of the termcap library, GRASS will work.
<P>
SuSe Linux: the termcap library is located in package series [a]
