Oops, it hasn't moved anywhere, it has never existed.  I forgot that I 
made the link but not the document, sorry.  It's good to be reminded.  
Classes are coming to an end here soon and I'll be able to spend more 
time on these things.

In the meantime, the instructions are essentially the same as for other 
platforms now, especially for newer versions.  I would definitely 
recommend the use of either 5.3 or 5.7, and see the information in the 
main page of information for Macs about the dependencies and options 
for getting them.

If one gets the dependencies through fink, the main addition to 
"standard" compilation instructions is to add the following to the 
"./configure" step:
- --with-libs=/sw/lib --with-includes=/sw/include
