Yes, we build a grass package for Fedora Core 4. It hasn't been widly
announced yet because we had some problems with correct sonames for the
grass libraries. This problem hasn't been generally solved but
nevertheless the Fedora Core 4 package are - as far as I can see - OK.
So I placed the packages on our FTP-Server [1]. Markus, if you want to
link the package on the website, it would be nice if you could wait one
night until our mirror [2] has been updated. You could then use this
link instead of [1] which causes much less traffic on our site (in case
many people want to download the package).
The package depends on several packages which should either be included
in Fedora Extra or be announced to be reviewed (gdal [3] and geos [4]
are among them). Right now I am waiting for reviewers for those
packages. In meantime we aim to solve the soname problem more generally
(s. [5] for the ongoing discussion). This is not as easy as we thought
so it could take some time...
Many greetings,
Silke
