we have considered such an idea a few times and found that it will not 
help enough to warrant the inconveniences that comes with it.
There is no real way to hide your email address if you participate
in an open development process and standard obfuscation will be 
de-obfuscated by standard harvesters so the gain is little.

While the unsolicited email problem is really bad, I agree,
changing the GRASS problem list to obfuscate address will not remedy it
significantly.
