Subject: [GRASS-web] search term='raster3D' fails?

Just now (14 Nov 2012) I got
http://grass.osgeo.org/error404/?mact=Search%2Ccntnt01%2Cdosearch%2C0&cntnt01returnid=117&cntnt01searchinput=raster3D&submit=Submit

But I know that
http://grass.osgeo.org/grass64/manuals/html64_user/raster3D.html
> GRASS GIS 6.4.3svn Reference Manual
...

Should not that (et al) be found?

Thanks for the report.
Since this search engine no longer exists (I'd suggest that OSGeo
provides a search engine for all lists or use Nabble or Gmane or
Google/Yahoo/Bing/... I have take the phrase out.

But the search engine find only stuff in the CMS database and the
GRASS manual pages
are not included there.
I'll try to find out how to workaround it asking the CMSMS experts.
More hopefully soon,
Markus

Since you reorganized the site you have left off several important links to basic tutorials referenced in almost all manual versions. The latest I have come across is:
Performing Map Calculations on GRASS Data: r.mapcalc Program Tutorial, by Marji Larson et al
Please make sure these basic references are available to all.
thank you, Bob

Bob,
thanks for your feedback! I have right now put the content of the "gdp/"
directory into the new CMS web structure. So all links to PDFs etc
should be back while the overview pages are redirected to the new
pages.
Hope with this "nested" approach we get the migration best done
(we are migrating several thousand pages, so still some odds and ends
aren't complete).
Don't hesitate to point out more problems.
Best
Markus

Dear GRASS Development Team,
I am emailing to enquire about the reliability of GRASS GIS with Windows 8.
The installers say mention specifically windows xp to 7. Are there known
problems when run with Windows 8?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Eric Pilles

Hi Markus,
Win8 is relatively new, so I have no Win8-box around here for testing.
but I dont't see any reason why wingrass shouldn't work also in Win8. testing welcomed.
so the message "For Windows XP through Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit" should be changed to
"For Windows XP through Windows 8, both 32 and 64 bit"
on this website (http://grass.osgeo.org/download/software/ms-windows/) is also mentioned:
"Stand-alone Installer package provided by Nielsen & Kudrnovsky:" should be also changed, because the most
standalone installer (nightly & release) are built by Martin.
best regards
Helmut
