CloudEO invites participants to submit innovative business ideas for commercial geo-services in agriculture and forestry. The proposed services need not, but can make use of the unique data, software, and infrastructure environment CloudEO provides. CloudEO will grant efficient access to all types of satellite, aerial, and weather data (including from Sentinel satellites) and a powerful development and processing environment.

CloudEO is a unique portal for all those who create, interpret, and use geo-data. It offers its customers a secure and highly scalable geo-infrastructure for developing, producing, and marketing geo-services. The portal<http://store.cloudeo-ag.com/> also combines data, software, and processing power within a private cloud service and certified hosting environment.

The Competition

Since 2011, the Copernicus Masters competition is annually awarding prizes to innovative solutions for business and society based on Earth observation data. Along with cash prizes, the winners will receive technical support in realising their ideas, access to satellite data, and start-up support from a prize pool worth a total of more than EUR 300,000. In 2014, for the first time, the Copernicus Masters is carried out on a worldwide basis. Geared primarily toward start-ups and other companies, researchers, and students, the competition will require entrants to submit their applications from 15 April to 20 July 2014 at www.copernicus-masters.com<http://www.copernicus-masters.com>.
