[winGRASS] GRASS on external hard drive?

I see that the native winGRASS is still in development, so I would
like to set up Cygwin and GRASS 6, and I would like to do it on an
external, USB-connected hard drive.  Does anyone have experience with
this, see any potential problems, or have any suggestions?  Thanks in
advance!
