[GRASS-windows] Newbie Questions

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for tutorials covering image processing using GRASS 6.3 on
Windows XP.  If anyone can point me to any I'd appreciate your assistance.

Also, I'm interested in learning how to establish a new spatial database for
imagery as well as other raster and thematic geo information.  I have a copy
of the book (version 2 for linux) but everytime I've followed the
explanation I somehow manage to accomplish very little.

For example, now that NASA has decided to make the TM archive free, I'd
really like to be able to incorporate that imagery into various analysis
projects I'm contemplating. I'd also like specific information regarding
MODIS products.
