Hi Markus,

g.region -p have following output:

rojection: 99 (Transverse Mercator)
zone:       0
datum:      potsdam
ellipsoid:  bessel

ewres:      25
rows:       964

("rojection" sic!)

The Map-Unit is meter, as the elevation-raster comes in Gauß-Krüger
