[GRASS-windows] grass manual

I am crazy,the grass is too a stranger to me,but I have to unstander it.
My problem is when I use grass to handle a data (for example a tif data),then what I should concern? the resloution? the region? the catalogy? ...so many to ....
Then I wonder if there is some manual to introduce grass completely?In the grass web site I can not find any.
