Hello,
i'm new to grass and not shure if i'm missing something but using
"r.horizon" with GRASS 6.4.0 on Windows 7 in the single point mode gives me
the "Unable to set up lat/long projection parameters" error. Im using a
astergdem (http://asterweb.jpl.nasa.gov/gdem.asp).

Command used:
r.horizon -d --verbose elevin=astadem at TEST_r_horizon horizonstep=1
coord=47.113697,11.310281 dist=0.7

g.region -p

projection: 3 (Längen- und Breitengrad)
zone: 0
datum: wgs84
ellipsoid: wgs84
north: 50:00:00.5N
south: 45:59:59.5N
west: 7:59:59.5E
east: 18:00:00.5E
nsres: 0:00:01
ewres: 0:00:01
rows: 14401
cols: 36001
cells: 518450401

g.proj
-p
-PROJ_INFO-------------------------------------------------
name : Lat/Lon
proj : ll
datum : wgs84
ellps : wgs84
no_defs : defined
-PROJ_UNITS------------------------------------------------
unit : degree
units : degrees
meters : 1.0

The raster displays correctly when using d.rast and displays correct
elevation values with r.what.
Same problem when projecting raster into utm coordinates or using a smaller
region within the large dem.

Can't find the problem. Can anybody help me?

In the grass-users mailing list i already got the hint to upgrade the proj.4
library in the SVN trunk, but no i idea how to do that....

Thanks a lot!

regards
Marc
