*TC IV Symposium on Geospatial Databases and Location Based Services, 14-16
May 2014, Suzhou, China*

The themes of the Symposium will cover the topics of 10 TC IV working
groups, including (1) Methods for the Update and Verification of Geospatial
Databases; (2) Global Status of Mapping and Geospatial Database Updating;
(3)Global DEM Interoperability; (4) Geospatial Data Infrastructure; (5) Web
and Cloud Based Geospatial Services and Applications; (6) Sensor Web and
Internet of Things; (7) 3D Indoor Modeling and Navigation; (8) Planetary
Mapping and Spatial Databases; (9) Computing Optimization for Spatial
Databases and Location based Services; (10) Global Land Cover Mapping and
Services; (11) *LBS and Ubiquitous Cartography ( ICA and ISPRS TC IV Joint
Session)*.

The papers accepted by the Symposium will be published in the International
Annals (by double-blind full paper review) or the International Archives
(by abstract review) of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial
Information Sciences. Special Issues for ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry
and Remote Sensing and Journal of Location Based Services will be organized
based on best papers from the Annals and Archives.

Suzhou is a major city located in Eastern China, adjacent to Shanghai. It
is originally founded in 514 BCE, and now is one of the top tourist
attractions with its canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously
designed gardens which have been added to the list of the UNESCO World
Heritage Sites.
