Thank you Jeff and Georg for this. This is excellent development. This bringing together of communities for a common education mission has done wonders and let us all work to expand this for future years. We will send an updated presrelease on this through ICA and OSGeo lists soon.

Best wishes,

Suchith

Subject: [Ica-osgeo-labs] OSGeo-ICA MoU renewal

Hi everyone,

During FOSS4G-Como, Georg Gartner (ICA President), myself, and Helena
somehow found an available 10 minutes to sit down together and update
the memorandum of understanding between the 2 organizations. One of the
key changes is naming the importance of the GeoForAll initiative in the
agreement.

You can see the changes here, in the text on the left:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/MOU_ICA

I will also update the signed document and send it to Georg this week (I
believe he's on vacation now though).

This MoU has done wonderful things for all communities!!!

-jeff
