Venka - great to hear about FOSS4G-Asia team giving certificate/awards for young researchers.

Definitely certificates acknowledging the students contribution is a great moral boost for the students. This recognition is much much bigger than the monetary award.

It will also help other LOCs who are planning to give Student Awards to learn from your experiences.

Best wishes,

Suchith

I want to second Venka's message, that the certificates/awards that he
and his FOSS4G-Asia team implemented, were very effective. Kazeem
Owolabi (best use case award) spoke to me directly at how he would use
this certificate/award to further his work.
