Nikos , we all are very grateful for your hardwork and efforts for this initiative. Mistakes might happen sometimes as we all are humans. So please dont worry. You and all other coeditors are putting your volunteer time and efforts for making this newsletter a reality and that in itself is something we all can celebrate.

Thanks Luca for bring this details to my attention. I have also now emailed Martin Isemburg requesting him to to please clarify fully and write a short article on this for our next newsletter. I hope he will respond to our request.

Best wishes,

Suchith

Dear all,

Thank you for your kind words and for correcting the mistakes of the Newsletter. I am glad because lot of people read the Newsletter. Sometimes enthusiasm can create errors. This is what happened with that software. We should have focus on the free part of the software and not on everything. It was not our intention to promote a proprietary software. I apologize.

Best wishes
Nikos Lambrinos

thanks to Nikos and all for the great work with newsletter.

I have only to complain about the LASTools article. I was shocked to see that software in our newsletter, it is only for a small and simpler part free software and the rest is proprietary and Martin Isemburg told me that the freeware version as a limit of point after that it introduce random errors as reported in the license [0].

At least we should write this in the article, could we write an errata short article in the next newsletter?
