First, remember that the CollabNet tools is a hosted solution and  
limited up to a point to its own tools.

However, we can point to other resources via sub domain. We can point  
to a Plone just as have the wiki. This is not an integrated solution  
(I have no way to extend the search) so it is not ideal. The contract  
with CollabNet allows us to do the footwork for the domain reference,  
but not hosting - so that needs to be taken care of similar also to  
the wiki which is hosted and maintained by a 3rd party volunteer.

As to using Plone itself in this sort of scheme, it would need to be  
seen as an OSGeo resource and you would need to manage it for all  
projects that would like to use it.
