Wouldn't it be neat to have a code sprint sort of event, but make it  
like some of the "foodbank Christmas concerts" I've been to.   They  
are free to attend, but you have to bring two canned food items to  
help the local foodbank.

In OSGeo's case, to enjoy the event, you must bring two items from  
your project that you will put on the table, willing to collaborate  
with other OSGeo projects. The trick would be to find the perk to  
make it a not-to-be-missed event :)
