Luis,
With regards to steps to follow with regards to incubation, I suggest
working through the Project Graduation checklist:
http://www.osgeo.org/incubator/process/project_graduation_checklist.html

In particular, I suggest it would be timely to focus next on the OSGeo
Marketing criteria, which primarily is focused around the inclusion of
your application and documentation on OSGeo-Live. The process for
including an application on OSGeo-Live is explained here:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc#How_to_add_a_project_to_OSGeoLive
(First step is to fill out the application email to join OSGeo-Live)

We have just started build process for our next 6.5 OSGeo-Live release,
so starting now would be timely.

  Key Milestones

10 Dec 2012 All new applications installed, most old applications
updated
24 Dec 2012 Feature Freeze (all apps updated)
21 Jan 2013 English Project Overviews and Quickstarts complete
28 Jan 2013 User Acceptance Test (all apps installed and working)
18 Feb 2013 Final ISO sent to printers
