[Incubator] Discussion: Change committee scope + name to "projects committee"

I agree we need a new name, I just don’t like Projects as a new name.

 

Would it be too long to call it  “project-outreach”? or project-support.

 

Calling it Projects seems a bit unclear to me as a passerby the intention of it.

Okay so one of the topics today was:

 

*	Discuss renaming to "Projects" and update responsibilities / mandate for this committee

 

How do people feel about this idea?

 

*	I think it would better reflect the "scope" the committee has grown into over time. Handling some of the project outreach / advocacy activities for OSGeo...
*	I think there is a bit of work to look forward to this year, with the CRA coming into effect in September we will need to work with existing project discuss and provide options for meeting regulations. Especially if OSGeo is considering moving to Europe 🙂

 

I would like to discuss this before transitioning from email list to discourse forum....
