Dear OSGeo Indian Board Members

I am writing this on behalf of Hack High (hackhigh.github.io) team. Myself
Sunveer Singh, high school student, Google Code-in 2017 Grand Prize winner
with OSGeo, Open Source enthusiastic and organizer of this Open Source high
school hackathon.

In India there are very few hackathons and especially on Open Source
software development for High School students, and Hack High will be
India’s first Open Source hackathon for high school students. So this
hackathon will be motivating high school students to get started with Open
Source Software Development and students can gain experience, refine their
skills, make a better decision for choosing the bachelor if they
participate on a Hackathon.

India’s per capita income was estimated to be $1670US on 2018? by (UN,
india goverment, dont forget to put the link also), which is approximately
a monthly salary of $139.16US, in other words, a daily salary of $4.63US,
which makes it an hourly salary of $0.57US hourly, because of this, it is
planned to not charge the students for their participation in the hackathon.

I am writing to request sponsorship from OSGeo for the hackathon,

Plans are to have challenges using OSGeoLive, challenges can come from any
OSGeo projects, according to your choice.

And OSGeo can also distribute there schwag that will encourage students to
contribute to OSGeo.

Please find our Sponsorship prospectus here:

Looking forward to hear back.

Thank You
Sunveer
