[India-discuss] Display vector (.shp) in Grass

Hi,

I am new to Grass and trying to display some shapefiles in the Map Display. They are shown in layer manager however they are not visible in map display.
I have tried "Zoom to selected map", no use.

I can also open the attribute table.
I am not sure if the projection/extent has got anything to do with this. But for a location I am setting the same projection as the dataset.
