[Java-collab] Re: IRC Meeting followup

Just to be clear:
I would like to start hands on work and do not really mind about the
location of the svn repository. It appears as if we have three
options. I am not sure if people are trying to be polite or kind on
this one (ie worry that collaboration will be hard in the deegree svn
or hard in a geotools svn)?
0) OSGeo Labs
- we need to answer questions about governance; code contribution; etc...
1) GeoTools SVN
- code contribution to OSGeo Foundation; svn credentials for a branch of svn
2) Deegree SVN
- code contribution, svn credentials etc...
I do not mind contributing to the code to deegree (but I may need to
step down as OSGeo Incubation process mentor).
All these options requires something similar for us to proceed:
- code contribution agreement
- svn credentials etc...
- can we leave decision making to break out IRC sessions (just as a
working assumption while we get going?). Or do we want to go for +1 /
- 1 votes in TRAC?
If I do not hear back in a couple of days I will proceed with writing
up something so we can get into OSGeo Labs; we will need to read it
over and agree before I pester the incubation list with it.
Happy hacking,
Jody
