Hi All,

I have a PhD position available at the Department of Computer Science,
National University of Ireland Maynooth (25Km west of Dublin City)
Ireland. It crosses some of the recent topics on the list. It may be
of interest to fellow subscribers - please forward to anyone you think
may be interested. Funding is provided by the Environmental Protection
Agency Ireland.

We are looking to carry out some big R little D - Research on mobile
device access to respositories of environmental data - this will take
in privacy issues (both user and data), access issues (free and open
access to data), user interface issues. Development will take the form
of prototype building - hopefully with open source software. As it is
a PhD our core focus will be advancing the research agenda.

The whole topic of mobile access to both real-time and archived
environmental data has not been explored in any great detail in
Ireland at present.

Please see http://erc.epa.ie/phd for a more detailed description

Thanks,

Peter

Dr. Peter Mooney,
Environmental Research Center,
Environmental Protection Agency,
Richview, Clonskeagh,
Dublin 14. Ireland.
