Web Back-end Developer, San Francisco - Relo OK | 70-90k 

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in San Francisco, CA
(94107) paying $70,000 to $90,000 (dep on exp) + benefits.  US Citizens or
Green Card holders only please.  Local candidates preferred, however,
candidates interested in relocating to San Francisco considered as well.  No
telecommuting.  Thank you. 

You are: a sharp San Francisco-area based developer with 4-7 yrs experience
building back-end web software and infrastructure. You might be a wiz at
data warehousing, DB tuning, scaling, sharding, or analysis. Or, you know
the ins-and-outs of software design in n tiered architectures.  High
efficiency datastructures and algorithms for in memory computations could be
your forte.  In any case, you are clearly motivated, have a strong academic
background and solid software fundamentals.

Required: 
* Deep experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle databases in a high demand
environment 
* OOP fundamentals in a strongly typed language: Java, C++, C#, etc. 
* Knowledge of: threading, sockets, interprocess communication,
parallelization, etc. 
* Familiarity with apache/ngnix, etc. 
* Unix development experience 

Nice to have: 
* GIS or web mapping experience 
* NoSQL Database 
* Amazon Web Services 
* The more python and open source experience, the better 

My client is: a geographic data and services company.  They collect map data
and distribute it through a hosted geoservices platform. Their flagship
product is used by all major portals, yellow pages sites and a leading
collection of mobile and social applications.
