Job description

A dedicated soil scientist to support the further development of
area-class soil maps. The candidate has insight in soil-landscape
relations, is thorough in handling of complex databases, and experienced
in GIS and the use of remote sensing information. Well-developed
communication abilities are needed for lecturing about these matters in
an international arena. Therefore writing and verbal communication
skills in English are essential and command of French or Spanish is an
asset as well as flexibility and sensitivity to interact with multiple
cultures.

Soil data expert/physical geographer

Job description

A dedicated soil data expert/physical geographer or geo-informatics/GIS
familiar with soil geography (BSc) to manage databases, prepare GIS
analysis and maps and maintain computer systems. The candidate has a
content background in agricultural science or physical geography, is
thorough in handling of complex databases, and experienced in GIS and
the use of remote sensing information. The candidate has affinity with
computer use issues to help support the computer infrastructure at the
institute.
