CARTO is changing the way maps are made by building the easiest and most
powerful data mapping engine ever. We have more than 200,000 loyal users
and customers around the world. The amount of location-based data is
exploding, and from biodiversity to transportation to marketing, people
around the world are using CARTO to bring their data to life.

*The Role*

We’re looking for a knowledgeable, full-stack solutions engineer to help
with pre- and post-sales technical activities that will help our clients
get the most out of the CARTO platform. As the liaison between our Product
Development team and our clients and partners, your work will help ensure
that we delight a range of customers by helping them to get the most of our
technology stack.

This position is based out of our Madrid, Spain or Brooklyn, US offices,
and regular travel to the other will be required..

*You will*

   - Estimate, plan, build and demonstrate demos, prototypes and
   proof-of-concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
   - Work with account managers to provide comprehensive responses to
   customer requests for technical information
   - Work closely with our product team to adapt CARTO to specific
   customers needs
   - Train customers and business partners on the technical aspects of our
   platform
   - Represent CARTO at conferences and events

   - Extensive software development and/or system administration experience
   - A positive mindset, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping
   others implement and make use of new technologies
   - Strong communication skills

*Our Team*

   - Codes mostly in HTML/JavaScript, Python, and SQL (PostgreSQL). Parts
   of CARTO are written in Ruby, node.js and C/C++, so we sometimes have to
   deal with that a little as well
   - Feels comfortable working with Linux
   - Is distributed, from Los Ángeles to Alicante, working from home or
   from our offices in Brooklyn or Madrid
   - Works mainly in English
