We are looking for a GIS developer and administrator to enhance workflows in spatial content creation and editing. The role requires experience in designing and managing Postgres databases and developing QGIS workflows and plugins. In the position you will have direct input in how we design and build internal workflow tools developing a suite of plugins for QGIS to support a multi-user content editing.

This role is suited to someone who seeks the opportunity to directly influence the most essential tools daily within the business.

Key technologies we work with:
PostgreSQL & PostGIS, SQL Server, QGIS, Python, FME – all residing in AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and supporting PostGIS/QGIS multi-user editing environment.
• Create and maintain QGIS Python plugins.
• To design, maintenance, and optimisation of PostgreSQL (PostGIS) databases.
• Providing training and support to desktop QGIS users.
• Monitoring and maintenance of systems and tools.
• Assisting the business in interpreting and harnessing spatial data.
• Create and monitor standards for data management and metadata.

Essential experience:

• PostgreSQL and PostGIS
• QGIS - plugin development
• Python - PyQt
• Database optimisation
• Knowledge of GIS concepts and spatial data formats
