The position is located in Ispra, in northern Italy. The successful candidate will investigate and develop new technologies, methodologies, and AI-based tools to improve trusted data sharing within complex data sharing ecosystems, such as data spaces. The candidate will develop showcases and prototypes within our in-house Data Sharing Innovation Lab, investigating opportunities of new technologies and novel applications by combining heterogeneous data such as IoT, citizen-generated, geospatial, and unstructured web-based data. We are looking for an independent, dedicated and proactive person with a background in computer science, data and information science or similar field, with a good academic track record, excellent knowledge of and hands-on experience with data sharing technologies (APIs, standards, data modelling, etc.), experience in the processing and combined use of heterogeneous data, familiarity with open-source software development and governance, and proficient in programming languages.
