Subject:[Lexicon] introducing myself - Codrina Ilie

 Hi, Lexicon group,

I just joined the Lexicon Committee and I'd like to introduce myself
 following Cameron's 4 questions:

 a. Who you are.
I am Codrina Ilie, a technical geographer and an open source GIS/RS
power user. I work at a Romanian based SME working in Earth
Observation
 - Terrasigna - and also doing a PhD in urban hydrogeology with an
emphasis on geospatial data interoperability and standardization.

 b. Mention your interest is in the OSGeo Lexicon Committee.
I see the glossary as a fundamental reference layer for every field
and
greater clarity and accessibility of it can constitute itself in a
crucial advantage. I think that a glossary of OSGeo terms, in line
with
ISO/TC 211 and OGC, is a natural step forward for our community.

 c. Possibly mention what you would like to see developed and how
you'd
like to help make it happen.
I'd like to see the glossary acknowledged, adopted and constantly
refined and indeed including it into OSGeoLive documentation would be
a
a significant help in that direction, to which I would gladly
contribute.

 d. Confirm that you are okay with joining the Lexicon Committee.
 Confirm!

 Warm regards from Bucharest,
 Codrina
