I was wondering if anything came out of previous discussions in regard to a common/open list of terms and definitions relating to GIS? It would be great if there was a common starting point that could be used. You can pick up the prior list of terms from this Google Directory , and in particular, the "Useful stuff" summarized at the top of our old meeting notes . It is also worth noting that AI tools like ChatGPT are now very effective at creating a reasonably decent Glossary from source content. Good luck, I'll be interested to hear how you go. This was my attempt at R / GIS glossary, https://github.com/nickbearman/intro-r-spatial-analysis/blob/main/glossary.tex, PDF at https://github.com/nickbearman/intro-r-spatial-analysis/releases/download/v10/glossary.pdf. If you are picking this up I'll be interested to see how you get on. Best wishes, Nick.
