The libLAS team is pleased to announce the release of libLAS 1.6.0b2. The OSGeo4W build has been refreshed to beta2 as well, so the cross-heap issues should be fixed for those who were having trouble.
A number of improvements, fixes, and features have been added since beta 1. A short
list includes:
- --point-translate option for las2las
- --extent option for filtering can now take negative values :)
- libLAS C++ DLL/.so is built and classes are now exported.
This is used for Windows utilities as well
- It's now possible to override the header's scale values as part of a ReprojectionTransform
- lasinfo summary display respects header's scale values to define precision
- CachedReaderImpl's mask generation is delayed until we attempt to read the first point
to eliminate running out of memory when asking for the Reader's header multiple times.
- Cleanups of a number of direct comparison of float/double values to use epsilon testing
- More header transformation options for las2las
- lasinfo and las2las are now completely revised. lasinfo-old and las2las-old are
still preserved for processing that needs to use the old syntax (The new ones are much faster, btw.
You should use them :)
- ts2las now build by default. This utility will be updated to behave like the
new las2las and lasinfo in the near future.
- A number of others. See the log at http://hg.liblas.org/main
- Numerous indexing enhancements
Thanks to all who provided bug reports and patches!
