I think I have this one smashed. <http://trac.liblas.org/ticket/231> It
will be released in libLAS 1.7.0. If you have the ability to pull down a
copy of the hg version <http://hg.liblas.org/main/archive/tip.tar.gz> and
test, I'd appreciate it. Also, it should be much, much faster for
medium-to-large sized files.
