I once chose the install option of an older version of Arramagong
(somewhere in the menu of the live dvd XFCE session, so not the startup
menu option) to install the contents of the livedvd on a partition and
miraculously it worked flawlessly: it installed the complete contents of
the DVD onto that partition and everything worked out of the box!
Not sure if the latest LiveDVD still has that menu option since it can
be quite destructive for someone who doesn't know what he's doing.
I hope this helps a bit.
Regards, Roald
