yes, I have been backporting relevant things so far.

I won't do that forever though, so devs are encouraged to do this
themselves for critical bugfixes, with the caveat that changes should
be kept as minimal as possible to help avoid the all too common pit of
unintended consequences. The idea for the branch is to be the basis
for some emergency 2.0.4 release in case that is needed. So treat it
as frozen for new devel and always in a ready-for-release state.
