[Live-demo] java version on the live dvd?

Java developers,
Thankyou all for weighing in Live DVD java requirements. I've created a 
ticket to track it at:
http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/442#preview

Have I summarised the issues correctly? If not, please discuss discuss 
on this list and CCs, and update the ticket if appropriate.

Jody, Simon, Byron, Ladon,
Can you please weigh in on the java version requirements of UDig, 
GeoNetwork and OpenJump.

Will they run with java5?

Could one of the java developers on this list please step up to update 
the scripts to install the appropriate version of java, and ensure 
OpenJDK is not installed. Once done, please let others know what you 
have done so it can be peer reviewed.
