 That fix doesn't carry over well between browser sessions.
 Based on http://www.stylesen.org/firefox_3_0_work_offline_mode
 The fix should be

  toolkit.networkmanager.disable  true
 }}}
 This appears to be the sole purpose of
 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13152

 Tested on original 2.0.1 VM, Can anyone confirm.
